Arum wants RP's Gorres in Chavez undercard

MANILA - Top Rank promoter Bob Arum plans to feature talented Filipino boxer Z “The Dream” Gorres in a fight card in Mexico on September 5.

Arum told InsideSports.ph that he plans to put Gorres in the undercard of undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. against Jason “The Hammer” Lehoullier set on September 5.

Chavez is one of the boxer sons of Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez, the other being the younger Omar Chavez.

Arum said they are still looking for a suitable opponent for Gorres.

Among Gorres' latest victims are Roberto Carlos Leyva of Mexico and Nick Otieno of Kenya.

Gorres, who has a professional record of 29-2-2, won the vacant WBO oriental bantamweight title in his clash against Leyva last March.

He also scored a controversial draw against Australia based Armenian Vic Darchinyan.
